We are parents, family members and allies of transgender young people in Alberta. We are organizing to restore charter-protected rights to vulnerable youth in our province.

This campaign is powered by Albertan parents of trans youth, allies, and everyday Albertans who believe in inclusive, equality and human rights. It is supported by Queer Momentum, TransAction Alberta and Amnesty International (Canadian section). We are united by the belief that, in Alberta, we welcome and support families of all kinds, and believe freedom should include everyone.

After Premier Danielle Smith suspended the charter-protected rights of transgender youth, stripped away health services our kids need, and banned transgender girls from playing sports with their peers, we came together to advocate and organize. We know from personal experience how harmful Premier Smith's anti-trans policies are. We've seen the impact on our kids: kids who are now less safe and more scared at school. Young people who are no longer able to access healthcare services recommended by their family doctors.

We've felt the impact ourselves, knowing that our own government is more interested in using our kids and families as political props than in listening to families like ours.

We want what all families want: To be supported in raising happy, healthy and confident kids.

It's hard to do that when the government has decided to pick on your kids.

That's why we're powering this campaign, and asking you to be a part of it too.

Because in Alberta, we respect freedom, uphold human rights and support families.
